Some frequently asked questions about online giving:
What is Vanco?
Vanco is our online payment vendor. Vanco provides a secure platform for churches and non-profits to accept online donations.
What types of payment can I use?
All major credit/debit cards, as well as ACH payments, are accepted.
Can I use online giving for my tithe?
Yes. Absolutely. Use the “General Fund” category to make your tithe.
Can I use online giving for my pledge for the building fund?
Yes. Absolutely. Use the “Building Fund” category to make your pledge donation. You can even set up future payments to meet your pledge goals.
Is online payment through Vanco secure?
Yes! Vanco uses the latest in SSL and digital transaction technology to secure your personal information.
Can the church see my personal data (credit card number, etc.)
No. The benefit of utilizing an online payment provider comes in the form of security for your personal data. When you make an online transaction with Vanco, your personal data is processed securely through Vanco’s technology. At no time does the church have access to your personal payment details.
Should I set up an account with Vanco?
We recommend setting up an account with Vanco. Doing so will allow you to set up recurring payments. As well as edit any recurring payments you may have set up. Additionally, you can see a history* of all of your transactions made through Vanco online giving.
*History will only show transactions made through Vanco online giving. The history will not show any cash or check contributions made in person, separate from online giving.
Are there fees for online giving?
Yes. There is a flat fee of $0.45 for all transactions. Plus, a 2.90% fee on credit card payments or a 1.00% fee on ACH transactions.
Who pays the fees for online giving transactions?
The fee is removed from your transaction before funds are deposited in the appropriate accounts of the church. Please prayerfully consider adding a few dollars to your gift in order to offset the fees paid by the church.
Should I use a credit/debit card or an ACH payment for online giving?
While both types of payments are gladly accepted, ACH payments have lower fees.
Can I schedule future payments through online giving?
Yes. By creating an account, you can schedule future one-time gifts as well as future recurring gifts.
Can I cancel my recurring gifts?
Yes. If you so choose, you may logon to your Vanco account and edit or cancel a recurring gift.
